Central Administrative Unit

Our Unit serves as the primary liaison between the University and the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) on matters related to HKUST’s responsibilities and obligations for the InnoHK Centers. We works closely with the InnoHK Centers, relevant University offices, and external stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and communication in supporting Centers' operations. In addition, our unit is responsible for drafting and administering policies, regulations, and guidelines for the InnoHK Centres, ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations and requirements established by both the University and the ITC. We also provides essential administrative support to facilitate smooth daily operations. Furthermore, we serves as the secretariat for the legal boards of the InnoHK Centres, supporting governance processes and the preparation of official documents.

Our Roles & Responsibilities

  • Governance & Compliance Support

    Assist in establishing and maintaining governance frameworks to ensure the operations in alignment with regulatory requirements and internal standards.

  • Policy Management

    Develop and oversee the internal policies to ensure compliance with University, ITC and legal requirements.

  • Board Secretariat Services

    Support the board by coordinating meetings, preparing documentation, and ensuring proper record‑keeping in accordance with governance standards.

  • Liaison & Communication

    Act as a bridge between internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and timely information flow.

  • Risk Monitoring

    Proactively identify, assess, and track potential risks that may impact the operations or compliance standing.

  • Administrative Support

    Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to help improve efficiency and ensure smooth operations of the Centers.
